We Will Miss You, T.J. DorrOn Sunday, September 28, 2008, Red Oak Camp lost a true friend with the passing of T.J. Dorr. T.J.'s life with Red Oak spanned decades, starting as a bus driver and swim instructor at Chincapin and then as a counselor at Red Oak.
T.J. spent many summers as Humphrey Cabin's counselor, and was a familiar figure at the wheel of the big red stake truck (joy rides!). His dedication to the camp continued as a long-standing member of Red Oak's Board of Directors. T.J. was currently serving as Red Oak's President at the time of his passing.
T.J. Dorr was a true gentleman, and we will miss his advice and support, his good-natured friendliness, his humor, and his sincere conviction to see our camps continue for future generations. He delighted in working with our campers and watching them grow and mature, and has positively affected the lives of so many young men and women.
For you T.J., Raz Ma Tazz! You're Great!
