Since our founding over 75 years ago In 1947, Red Oak has always built environmental stewardship into every camper's day by caring for the camp property, conducting nature-based science and service at the Arboretum.

Caring for our natural world has always been part of the deal here. We love to help campers learn about the world around them. Whether it’s clearing trails, planting gardens and trees, or pulling invasive species. Along the way, they not only have fun, they learn about flora and fauna in our 87-acre patch of Northeast Ohio, it’s paramount to our mission of developing campers’ inner strengths through outdoor exploration and adventure. It’s part of our history and crucial for our future.

While it may come as a surprise, revenue from camp tuition does not cover operating costs for the camp -- let alone maintenance and repairs.  Instead, we count on your added support to maintain the level of excellence Red Oak Camp has achieved as a camp so far.

To celebrate this rich tradition, we are asking for your help during our
4th Annual Earth Day to Arbor Day Fund Raising Challenge from April 22 through April 29th.
